ACCESSIBILITY AT PRIDE 



At Pride in Surrey accessibility is not an after-thought for us, rather its central to everything we do at our events. Accessibility is an LGBTQ+ issue and we dedicated to making sure our events are accessible to everyone.





Pre-Event Information:

Online ticketing:

We offer general accessibility tickets as well as tickets for personal assistants (PA). 
Having a separate ticket groups enables us to keep in contact with those are are planning on attending. 
Tickets for accessibility and PA are completely free of charge and come with the following benefits:
  • Priority access into the event using any of our two access entry points
  • The ability to bring in food and drink into the event for medical reasons
  • Access to our main stage viewing area

Working with our suppliers:

We working closely with our event suppliers to make areas even more accessible. 
For example, we have had a bespoke ramp manufactured for us so wheelchair users can access our main stage.

Increasing planned facilities:

We adjust our level of facilities each year, as our event grows, we attract more and more visitors.
This year we have ramped up our numbers of accessible toilets to slash queuing times.

What to expect on event day:

Easy read directional signage around town:

Working alongside Reigate & Banstead Council we have ensured getting around Reigate town for the parade and into the park event is as easiest as it can be. 

Accessible parade assembly areas:

Single level areas, along the parade route and assembly areas creating an easy , enjoyable and seamless journey.

Priority entry points:

Both of our entrances feature a priority lane for wheelchair users and those with accessibility and PA tickets. 
The priority lanes cut down queuing time, getting visitors through security and into the event quicker.

Accessible toilets:

This year we are ramped up the number of accessible toilets for our visitors. 
Every 1 in 6 toilets this year will be accessible.
